While News of the World reviles this shocking pictures in Perth, Australia, friends and family arrived at Heath Ledger’s mother’s home on Monday to pay their respects over the loss of their loved one.

According to an insider, “This is where the media descended after his parents and family arrived at the Perth Domestic airport. They eluded the waiting media by escaping through one of the numerous exits at the airport.”

The source continues, “The police were called and blocked both ends of the road to oncoming traffic in front of the home.”

Meanwhile, according to Australian newspaper reports, Ledger is expected to be buried in a family plot with two of his grandparents at Perth’s Karrakatta Cemetery.

Avril Lavigne to launch perfume!

The ‘Girlfriend’ rocker filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office last December, the first step to launching her own cosmetic label.

Avril Lavigne applied for a patent for: “Fragrances and perfumery, aftershave, pre-shave, bath oil, bath soap, shower gel, body shampoo, deodorant for personal use, tissues impregnated with cosmetic lotions, bath crystals, bath milks, dusting powder, body lotion, body splash, body cream, hand lotion and talc.”

Avril Lavigne is the latest in a long line of celebrities to release their own fragrance. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Kate Moss have successfully created their own scents. In 2006, celebrity fragrances were the fastest-growing segment of the $2.9 billion US perfume market.

Sales of Lopez’s fragrances Glow and Live Luxe made her $77 million in 2006, while Victoria and David Beckham’s his-and-hers ‘Intimately Beckham’ scents was a popular Christmas gift abroad.

The Angels landed in Arizona this weekend, as supermodels Selita Banks, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima hosted the Victoria’s Secret Super Bowl VIP Salon in celebration of the 42nd annual Super Bowl on Saturday (February 2).

The lingerie giant is taking a particularly strong interest in this year’s big game, as they decided to run a commercial this year for the first time since 1999.

According to reports, Victoria’s Secret is “looking ahead to Valentine’s Day, when men are most likely to join the overwhelmingly female customer base in their stores.”

“This is probably the biggest co-viewed event of the year between men and women,” said Jill Beraud, chief marketing officer for Victoria’s Secret.

Model Adriana Lima stars in the spot, which will only be airing one time during the game, but will be on the Victoria’s Secret Web site following the game’s live broadcast.

Tyra Banks threw a baby shower for Jessica Alba on her talk show recently. The former supermodel filled the stage with balloons and gifts as pregnant Jessica appeared on the show. Included among the presents were a pushchair, bassinet, toys and clothes at a total cost of $6,000.

Jessica — who is expecting her first child, rumoured to be a boy, with fiancé Cash Warren — revealed she was learning to cope with her expanding breasts.

She said,

I’ve never dealt with cleavage before — it’s a whole new thing.

Jessica also admitted that the baby wasn’t planned, but was a pleasant surprise.

Paris Hilton at Super Bowl parties

With the stars descending upon the desert in preparation of the big game, Paris Hilton kicked off four days of celebrity-filled Super Bowl parties last night in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The hotel heiress was hosting 944 Magazine’s 6th Anniversary Party, attended by guests ranging from Terrell Owens and Dennis Rodman to Sanjaya Malakar and Brody Jenner.

According to press on the scene, “Hilton strutted her stuff in front of the ever-obliging paparazzi as part of the sprawling 944 Super Village, a blocks-long entertainment complex sponsored by the Phoenix entertainment magazine.”

Besides Hilton’s festivities, club goers were also treated to a 50 Cent and Vitaminergy hosted Naked Ping Pong Celebrity tournament just down the street!
